Dana Cromie is a Vancouver artist with a deep interest in the natural world. Cromie paints botanical watercolours for focus, discipline and enjoyment. He was Artist in Residence at UBC Botanical Garden 2012-2014.
He is currently working on a series of landscapes which highlight our role in habitat loss.
January through April 2014, Cromie had a solo exhibit “Remnants” at the Beaty Biodiversity Museum at UBC. A series of black and white collages told the story of habitat loss and fragmentation. 2,000 prints of 28 original drawings were used in five large format collages.
