Wendy Mould: A Picture starts with an Idea!!

Where do these ideas come from?  How long does it take for them to mature?

Ideas are running around in my head all the time!!  Some are ready to go, but many are in production.  My picture “Caught in the Light” was an idea under production for 2 years!!

I had a great picture of a barn owl my sister had given me 2 years ago but did not know how I wanted to present him.  He has percolated in my mind waiting for his spot.  Then this spring I found it!

I was doing a photography trip up in the Harrison Mills area when I came across this interesting tree by the water.  I loved the gnarled roots that had lost their support but still stood firm in the water.  They were my inspiration for my owl.  “Caught in the Light” was soon underway.
